HUNTER SCHOUEST PLACED 1ST IN TARPON AT THE 67TH ANNUAL SPORTSMAN'S LEAGUE RODEO WITH A 147.2 POUND TARPON CAUGHT FISHING WITH COON POP. THEY ALSO PLACED FIRST IN THE CATCH AND RELEASE DIVISION.
Ivy Robichaux is the pending IGFA world record holder for females ages 12-16 with this 188.4 pound tarpon she caught on a Coon Pop fishing lure while fishing out of Grand Isle with Captain Coon. She also won 1st place tarpon in the 66th Annual Sportsman League Rodeo.

The 2017 Diva Rodeo was a great success! We would like to thank all of our donors and sponsors and everyone who came out to support such a great cause! WORLD RECORD TARPON
Mr. Billy Moore caught this 224 pound tarpon on a Coon Pop fishing lure while fishing with Captain Coon out of Grand Isle. This was the first tarpon he ever caught and it is currently 7th in the Louisiana State Records.
HIGHLIGHTS OF 2017
Tarpon Charters with Captain Coon are $1200 a day.This price includes boat, tackle and fuel.
You provide your own food and drinks.
You will fish with Captain Coon aboard his 31 foot Fountain. Tarpon trips are available out of Sand Dollar Marina in Grand Isle Louisiana. The best months to fish tarpon are between July and October. Multiple boats are available for larger groups. Fly fishing for tarpon is also offered. Private camp lodging with meals is available. Call for more details.
